So here we are again, back at my winter home that is Tignes, and my how I’ve missed it.
We’ve only been back less than a week, but I already feel so settled and at home.
This winter will bring my biggest BASI challenges yet where I’ll be facing the Eurotest, L4 tech and Coach 2 courses.
Having spent the tail part of the summer training hard with Ben from Ben Reid Performance Coaching I could really feel the difference when I finally got back on snow yesterday. Admittedly we only managed 3 runs in 2.5hrs due to the horrdenous weekend queues and weather, but even in those few metres skied I felt good *touch wood*.
Today was due to be my first day in the gates with Team Comp headed by Aleks Stojanovski, however, conditions on the glacier dictated a no-ski day… by my logic there was only one clear thing to do, especially after purchasing the remaining few ski servicing tools I needed… BAKE!!
Today’s special (dedicated to Gemma) is peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies courtesy of the Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook (tweaked here and there to make them even more naughty and delicious!). The recipe suggests that it makes around 24 cookies… I have somehow ended up with 72!!!
