A month after my last post and I feel I can finally say we’ve settled in to our new home and new routine in Tignes.
Our training with Ski Focus came to a close at the start of December, but with it came the start of a new chapter when we started our BEST training programme with BASS (British Alpine Ski School). Sally, Tori, four other BASI level 2 instructors and myself are now embarking on a 16 week ISIA training course designed to prepare us for the technical and teaching exams at the end of the season.
So far we have had two weeks of training and are just entering our second week of shadowing/practice time over the Christmas break. We’ve been promised a gruelling schedule when our training recommences in January so we’ll have no problems burning off that festive grub!
Our festive feast
Training with BASS isn’t the only new event that’s happened in the past month, I’ve also travelled to Alpes d’Huez with Tori for her Test Technique, baked endless goodies with Sally, got whiplash in my abs from a tumble, started work cleaning apartments for Hundred Hills, skied some incredible powder, learnt how to use iMovie, been to a birthday part, tried a Margarita cocktail, discovered I don’t like Margarita cocktails… the list goes on!
Bit of a festive baking fail!
Went down a chairlift for the first time.. the view was AMAZING
